Mellow

F C/A Am C/A Dm
F/C Eb/C Bb F/A G7 C

F C/A
Cool grass blowing up the pass
Dm F/C
Don't you know I'm feeling mellow
Bmb5 Dm Dm/C Bb F/A G7
I love your Roman nose, the way you curl your toes baby
                C
Make me feel so mellow

It's the same old feeling I get when you're stealing
Back into my bed again
With the curtains closed and the window froze
By the rhythm of the rain

Dm Bb Eb/Bb Bb Dm G
You make me mellow, you make me mellow
C
Rocking smooth and slow
Fm+6/Ab A
Mellow's the feeling that we get
Bb F
Watching the coal fire glow

You make me mellow, I make you mellow
Wrecking the sheets real fine
Heaven knows what you sent me Lord
But God this is a mellow time

Bb F Bb F

Going down to the stores in town
Getting all the things we need
Don't forget the beer my little dear
It helps to sow the mellow seed

And it can't be bad, all the love I've had
Coursing through my life
Down in the pass where the wind blows fast
And mellow's feeling right

  1. Great transcription and it’s the only one out there I could find. I don’t know if the person who put this up checks this but if you do could you please tab out the Fm+6/Ab chord. I don’t know it and can’t find it.

    Thought I’d take my chances.

    Thank you,

    Marisa Lu

  2. I didn’t transcribe this but I’ll throw in my 2 cents.
What I am finding very useful here is the basic chord progression
    F Am Dm F Bb F G C
I think the others with the slashes are passing chords.
The chord you asked about I think the Ab chord is the important part to do the slow walk up from Ab to A to Bb and then down to F.

Thanks to the transcriber!! This is a great song!!!

  3. Yup some of those chords with the slashes are passing chords. Meant to be played in the bass region. Thanks for your 2 cents 🙂
