I hate to inform you that these chords are not correct. This is one of my favorite elton tunes. I don’t have super exact chords, but in the verse, you’re looking at something like:
C/E, F (has anybody here..)
Am, Dm (heard he’s back…)
Em, Ebdim (lay down) — not 100% on exact phrasing of the dim
Dm, C/E (must be getting on)
F, Am, Am/G, F (needs a man…)
C/E, F, Am (needs a man…)
And most of the chorus is correct, though most of the C’s have E in the bass, and the end is:
Am, Dm (never learn the reason why)
Bb, C/E (I love your razor face) not exactly sure on the phrasing of the Bb
Nice thanks. Feel happy to inform me! Eventually we’ll figure out exactly how to play it 🙂
